Master Lab

The Master Lab contains 24 hands-on experiments on selected topics in Materials Science and Engineering and related fields.

All experiments are independent and show you a special topic in science and their tools. They are preparative or analytical experiments, sometime also a combination.

After passing the lab course you have learned how to use these techniques for your research. You know what kind of outputs you can expect and how to interpret and evaluate them.

The Master Lab consists out of three modules which all three must be passed for completing your master studies.

mawi-708 Master Lab 1

mawi-804 Master Lab 2

mawi-938 Master Lab 3

Each of these modules contains 8 passed experiments from the list of 24 experiments inside the lab course. The experiments are not assigned to any special module. So you are free to choose your own combination. But in the end all experiments must be passed.

If you have passed 8 of them, you can apply in this semester to accredit one module. If you have passed more you also can apply for two or all three modules.

The Master Lab is organized via an OLAT course.

There you will find important dates and further information and you have the possibility to register for the lab course.

To find the OLAT course you can search for "Master Lab".
