Titel: Quantum systems and control: a short introduction and applications
Abstract:
The integration of the theories for open and closed quantum systems along with control theory provides a new conceptual framework that allows, for example, the manipulation of some molecular systems to reach some target states as well as the design of mesoscopic devices and light induced chemical reactions. In this talk we will give a short introduction to main concepts of quantum control theory, revising the quantum version of some of the concepts familiar to control-theory community: open loop, closed loop control, optimal control, feedback control. Once we have introduce the basic aspects of quantum dynamics and quantum control, we will present some examples and our findings in molecular systems.
