Prospective students

Dear prospective students,

Studieninteressierte

We are pleased that you are interested in studying materials science in Kiel. We offer you with the study programs Materialiwssenschaft (MaWi) as well as Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen Materialwissenschaft (WiIng MaWi) interesting and technically mature study concepts.

On the following pages we would like to introduce you to Materials Science and its study programs:

In addition to text and images, you will also find videos of the faculty, the working groups and of students who reveal their personal views on the topics.

The annual study information days at Kiel University offer you the opportunity to take a broad look at different subjects and university life. Further information can be found on the university's website.

You are also welcome to get in personal contact with students of the Department of Materials Science.
In the format Ask a student - last minute you can get in touch with our students via videoconference and get to know fellow students. Click here to register.

You would like to get specific advice on your studies? We also offer this in various forms.

You can directly contact the study advisor of materials science. There you will receive individual advice in a personal conversation, on site or online, and you can get rid of your questions. You are welcome to bring your friends with you, a consultation in small groups is also possible.

There are a few more of you? What about a "home visit" then. Depending on the possibility, we also offer school visits to talk about material science and studies. These visits can be accompanied by suitable experiments and projects.
