Preconditions for Your Studies

ETIT Since the courses are not restricted, you can study with us if you have a university entrance qualification, e.g. in the form of a passed high school diploma (Abitur).

Advantageous for studying electrical engineering are:

  • your interest and good performance in school mathematics,
  • your interest in technical relationships and your good physics performance,
  • your strong communication skills and a willingness to share knowledge.

Due to the corona pandemic and the already existing trend towards digitization of teaching, it is very important that you start your studies with the appropriate technical equipment.

You need at least:

  • a reliable internet connection at your place of residence during your studies,
  • a terminal with a large screen (HD), ideally a laptop,
  • a webcam and a microphone (if not integrated into your laptop).

The terminal should be equipped with an operating system that you already know well. You can get some important programs or program packages cheaper or even free of charge if you are already registered as a student at CAU.

To start studying, you have to register, i.e. enroll for study. Enrollment is only possible within a certain period of time - you must therefore observe the enrollment deadlines that you can find here for the current academic year.
