Medical Science

MedizintechnikMedical technology, also called biomedical technology or health technology, includes the application of engineering principles and rules in the field of medicine. This area is - at least from our point of view - particularly exciting because knowledge from the field of technology is combined with medical knowledge in order to improve diagnostics, therapy, nursing, rehabilitation and the quality of life of sick or healthy individuals. For this purpose, there are special cooperations at our Department with the Medical fFculty of Kiel University and the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH).
