Enrollment in the Master's degree program | ||
---|---|---|
The Bachelor's degree certificate must be submitted for enrollment. Often the degree certificate is not yet available at the time of enrollment. Therefore, we allow you a provisional enrollment in the Master's degree program on the basis of a Transcript of Records confirmed by the Examination Office, provided that you do not lack more than 30 credit points for Bachelor's degree. Your provisional Master's enrollment will expire if you are unable to submit your Bachelor's degree certificate by 10.12. in the case of enrollment for a winter semester. In case of a provisional enrollment for the summer semester, you have the possibility to submit your Bachelor's degree certificate by 10.6. at the latest. Please refer to the information provided by Student Services regarding provisional Master's enrollment (in German). On this page you will also find, among other things, information on the proof of successful completion of the Bachelor's degree and on the consequences of missing the deadline for proof. If you have a German bachelor's degree, enroll in the Master's degree program at the Student Services. Information on the procedure for (provisional) enrollment in the master's degree program that does not have restricted admission, including the required forms, can be found on the Student Services page on enrollment in master's degree programs (in German). If you have a foreign Bachelor's degree, you will be enrolled in the program by the International Center. With your written admission to the degree program, you will receive all necessary information on the enrollment procedure from the International Center.
BAföG funding for Master's degree programs can only begin after you have submitted a Bachelor's degree certificate. If you are still enrolled in the Bachelor program, it is possible that you apply for an extension of the maximum funding period for the Bachelor. Once you have your degree certificate, this funding can be transferred to the master's program. |
