Moin CAU - die Ersti-App

Even before the start of the courses of the winter semester you have the opportunity to prepare for your studies. Check out the following events!

wir kommen in Kontakt!

Already in September, we would like to get in touch with you and make it possible for you to get in touch with other first semester students. We meet via Zoom - here is the link - on 10.09.2024 and/or 24.09.24 - informally and relaxed - at 6 pm.  All enrolled students will be invited to the Erstischnack via e-mail to their stu-mail account. Please check your mailbox regularly! If you are not enrolled yet or you are still waiting for access to your stu-mail-account, do not hesitate to send an e-mail to michael.meisser@email.uni-kiel.de in order to get invited to the get-contact Erstischnack.

Stay informed! If you are already enrolled and you already got access to your stu mail account, log in to OLAT and join the course Studieneingangswoche 2024 - engineers getting started!

OMB + Kurs

The optional Online Mathematik Brückenkurs (OMB+) (Online Mathematics Bridge Course) helps you refresh your mathematics skills from school and practice dealing with mathematical concepts and applying basic procedures. The OMB+ consists of explanatory texts with many examples, interactive illustrations, exercises and tests on which you can check your skills yourself. All terms are explained in the course. You do not need any additional tools and you can work when, where and how often you want. Every day from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. - including weekends - specially trained tutors are available at the OMB+ call-center to answer any questions you may have about the course.

 VK Schulmathematik

The optional Vorkurs Schulmathematik (pre-course School Mathematics) allows you to recap your school mathematics knowledge and slowly settle into the student routine. School mathematics is reviewed in a condensed manner and exercises help you to recapitulate the material. Note that the level of study mathematics will be significantly different from school mathematics.

Please be sure to register via form by 19.09.24 for the pre-course to be held 23.09.-04.10.24. Those who have registered will receive the access data in advance by e-mail.

The freshers' trip 25.10. - 27.10.2024, organized and held by the CAU's engineering student council, is the opportunity for you to make contacts before you start your studies and to get to know your fellow students and students from higher semesters in a relaxed atmosphere. Take the unique opportunity and check in.

Introductory week for study starters - join!

The Introductory Week "engineers getting started" 07.10.-11.10.2024 includes formats such as fishbowl discussions, research and discussion sessions, special lab tours and get-together evenings. We offer a broad mix of to face-to-face events and online meetings - this is why it will be an hybrid event. This is going to be super exciting and diverse.

Some blocks of the Introductory Week will deal with the tools and legal basics you need to plan your studies and to grasp the course contents. The members of the student body - your representative body - will also be present.

The registration for the Introductory Week takes place via the learning and teaching platform OLAT, which will play an important role in your further studies.
