Welcome to study at the Faculty of Engineering!

It's great that you are going to study with us! Here we have compiled information for you on the so-called study entry phase. Even before the official start of the semester, you have a variety of opportunities to prepare yourself for the challenges of studying.

Studierende beim Studieren

Before you start with your first courses - in the first semester these are lectures, exercises and laboratory courses - various other events take place. Many of these offerings before the start of the semester are optional, i.e. participation is voluntary. Your first mandatory event that you must attend is the Introductory Project Electrical Engineering. This is generally in the first week before classes actually begin. In the winter semester 2022/23, lectures at CAU start on 17.10. while at the Department of Electrical Enineering an Information engineering, the lectures start one week later on 23.10.2023.

In the weeks before you start your studies, take advantage of the opportunities to engage with your new phase in life and build connections with the people who will accompany you in the coming years. Thus, after attending the events of the study entry phase, you will have found very personal answers to the following questions:

Any questions?

If you have any questions about the study entry phase, please feel free to contact michael.meisser@email.uni-kiel.de.

You would like to talk to students who already enrolled to electrical engineering?

ask a student @ TF - dahinter auf Kreidetafel vielerlei Fragezeichen

Our students Lucie and Lukas provide you with insights, share their experiences and help you in finding other perople to talk to. Use this excellent chance to get contacts already before the Studieneingangsveranstaltungen. Lucie and Lukas will also give you diverse answers on "How is it in Kiel?". Ask a student @ TF is an offer of Fachschaft Ingenieurwissenschaften at TF.
