Application via the online portal AppliSe and enrollment

My previous studies were held in English. Do I still need to provide an English language test?

Yes, according to our Regulations on Proof of Practical Work or Foreign Language Skills (Study Qualification Regulations) the result of an English test or an other official proof must be provided.

Please notice that  for the new application period  for Wintersemester 2021/22  English knowledge must be mandatory prooven by a GRE test only! ( Our Institutional Code therefore is: 7144 . Minimum Score 145. TOEFL, IELTS or similar test results are only optional but not admissible and cannot replace GRE test results


Do I have to get my documents issued in English language certified before uploading them?

While completing the online formalities, you need to upload some documents like your degree certificate and transcript of records. You can upload these documents in English language without a certification. But note that you will need certified documents when enrolling at Kiel University.


According to the application requirements certified copies have to be submitted when enrolling at Kiel University. Who may certify the documents?

We will accept all copies, which are certified by an official institution, e.g. your University, a notary or a Higher Education Commission.
