Prof. Eun-Soo Lee Explores Machine Learning's Role in Power Electronics at Chair of Power Electronics

Hanyang University's Professor Eun-Soo Lee recently visited the Chair of Power Electronics for a discussion on the integration of Machine Learning in Power Electronics Applications. His presentation, 'Optimal IPT Design and Magnetic-field Focusing (MFC) by Machine Learning,' highlighted the transformative potential of AI in shaping the future of power electronics, specifically in Inductive Power Transfer (IPT) and Magnetic-field Focusing (MFC).



  • Our research is focused on the design of high efficient and reliable PWM-based power converter architectures (single-cell, multi-cell, multilevel), their modelling and control to exploit commercial as well as new power semiconductor devices with minimum over design.
    We develop controllers for electric drives and we are particularly skilled in the integration of renewable energy systems into the electric grid.
