The Faculty of Engineering participates in professional environmental management at the CAU, the EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme). The aim is to save raw materials such as energy sources and water through ongoing operation, to advance climate protection, to reduce waste and to strengthen biodiversity through unsealing. The CAU has had an environmental management working group since the 2011 summer semester.

The technical faculty has been represented there by our environmental officer from the very beginning. We bring the environmentally relevant concerns of our employees and students into this working group. In addition, the environmental officer advises those responsible for environmental protection in our faculty. He participates (in relation to our area) in necessary analyzes (e.g. inspections) and reports by providing relevant input for the environmental management working group.
