Dr.-Ing. Christoph Bechtold

Christoph Bechtold studied Business Engineering at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) where he received his degree in 2006. For his diploma thesis, he joined the Smart Materials research group at the Stiftung caesar in Bonn focussing on the characterization of ferromagnetic shape memory alloys such as NiMnGa and their sensor potential.

In 2007 he started his Ph.D. thesis working within the DFG priority programme 1239. He received his doctoral degree in 2010.

Field of Research are MSM and magnetostrictive thin films and Sensors.
