• April 1 2009: Professor Hermann Kohlstedt takes up the "Nanoelectronics" Group.


• February 1 2009: Professor Dirk Manteuffel takes up the "Wireless Communications" Group.


• January 1 2009: Professor Ludger Klinkenbusch has been elected to IEEE Fellow.


• October 1 2008: Professor Wolfgang Benecke takes up the "Chair for technology of silicon-based micro- and nano-systems".


• On June 12 and 13, 2008 Prof. Rosenkranz hosts the workshop on "Optical Telecommunications" (--> Program) organized by the Informationstechnischen Gesellschaft (ITG) of the VDE.


• Professor Martina Gerken was awarded the Adolf-Martens-Preis 2008 for a work on "high-dispersive nanostructured materials". The award includes prize money of 3,000 Euros and will be presented in Berlin on the meeting of the board of trustees of the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM).


• April 1 2008: Professor Martina Gerken takes up the "Chair for Integrated Systems and Photonics".


• January 1 2008: Professor Reinhard Knöchel has been elected to IEEE Fellow.


• The workshop "Fields and Waves" held by the U.R.S.I. Commission B will take place from thursday 5th to friday 6th July 2007 at the European Academy Schleswig-Hostein in Sankelmark.


• Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ingmar Land (former PhD student at the work group ICT) and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Adam Höher received the ITG Award 2006.


• Prof.-Ing Sabah Badri-Höher (50% Hochschule Bremen, 50% work group ICT) accepted a call to the Private Fachhochschule für Wirtschaft und Techink (FHWT) Vechta-Diepholz-Oldenburg.
